The diving season on Lundy Island begins at the end of April and extends until the end of September. The waters around Lundy are a designated Marine Conservation Zone and therefore provide magnificent underwater scenery and a huge variety of marine life. Basking sharks have been spotted in these waters which are populated by lobster, crayfish, octopus, sea urchins and star fish. There is also a spectacular colony of jewel anenome. There are also 137 shipwrecks off the Lundy coast waiting to be explored.
