Ocean Backpackers is a clean and homely hostel, which offers comfortable and spacious accommodation at great prices.

The hostel (built by a master boatmen in 1860) underwent an extensive renovation in 1999 to create an upmarket international hostel. The location is perfect. We are a minutes walk form Ilfracombe Harbour and the main bus station, which brings coaches form London Victoria, Heathrow and Birmingham is opposite the hostel.

Ilfracombe is surrounded by breathtaking coastline and wonderful walking country. It’s full of curious coastal charm and has an abundance of cafes, restaurants and friendly local pubs! Many guests return to Ocean Backpackers again and again. We welcome anyone of any age that enjoys the buzz of a backpackers and has a love of the great outdoors!
